Why use goat milk in soap?
Goat milk contains natural emollients, vitamins and triglycerides that soften and moisturize the skin. Homemade soap contains glycerin, the natural by-product of soap saponification. Glycerin maintains the skin’s natural moisture during cleansing. Commercial soap manufacturers remove the glycerin from their soap to be used in more expensive beauty products. Their soaps can contain detergents, chemicals, alcohols, fillers, synthetic preservatives and often petroleum products.
We use antibiotic and hormone free raw milk from our own LaMancha (no ears) dairy goats. Goat milk is the ingredient that turns handmade soap into a luxury item! Even Cleopatra loved to bathe in milk.
